Summer Programming 2013!
Traditional Tutoring for 1st - 12th Grades: Math,
Slow & Steady: 1 - 2 sessions per week, throughout the summer
Intensive: Daily sessions for 3 weeks or more, available June – August
Jump Start: Daily one-on-one sessions in math or language arts designed to transition your child back into a classroom routine, from August 19 - 23
Skill Builders (Individual): Individual social and academic readiness skills for children entering Kindergarten and 1st grade
Skill Builders (Small Group): 15 small-group sessions focusing on social and academic readiness for students entering Kindergarten and 1st grade. K: 9:00 – 10:30am, 1st Grade: 10:30am – Noon. July 8 – July 26
Preschool, Kindergarten, & Elementary
Preschool Day Camps: Kids take part in different fun and educational activities every day, led by early childhood/elementary certified teachers! Sign up for either or both camps! 9:30 - 1:00pm; June 3 - 7, June 10 - 14
Camp Sounds: Fun activities that teach skills important for reading, like active listening, sound-letter matching and more. For Pre-K & Kindergarten students (age 3-5) with emerging reading skills. Pre-K: 9 - 10am, 1st grade: 10:30am - Noon, June 24 - 28
Chatterbug Club: Pre-K and K students work on socialization and conversation skills while preparing and sharing a light lunch each day. Led by a speech therapist and a licensed counselor, the group encourages social communication and reduces frustrations and inappropriate behaviors that stem from poor language ability. Noon till 1 pm, June 24 - 28
Music Together Family Group Class: A fun and educational music and movement program for mixed age siblings and their caregivers; Group will sing, dance to new songs and rhythmic chants, play instruments in jam sessions, 9:30 - 10:15am or 10:30 - 11:15am, Thursday's from June 17 - July 28
One Minute Reader: Shy or hesitant readers can benefit from our award-winning program; For students entering grades 2 - 6 who struggle with fluency meet with a specially-trained teacher once a week for 10 weeks, available throughout the summer
Middle and High Schoolers
S.A.T. Boot Camp: Prepare now for the SAT, before classes and homework take over!
VERBAL: July 29 to August 2, 10 am - Noon
MATH: August 5 to 9, 10 am till Noon
Write the Right Essay: Strategies and Tips for writing a successful college-application essay, July 29 to August 2, 1 - 3pm
Study Smarter, Not Harder: Small Group Organization & Study Skills
Middle School: August 5 to 9, 10 am - Noon
High School: August 5 to 9, 1 - 3pm
Credit Recovery: One-on-one credit recovery for high school students that need to advance to the next grade level; in math, language arts, 30 hour class time, 30 hour homework time, available all summer
